Eloise doesn't really like being naked on the doctor's table so she was crying before her appointment even started. Husband pointed out as soon as the doctor left that I was leaking! I was more than ready to nurse her after her shots. Eloise went absolutely red faced when she got the shots but honestly, we've heard way worse screams from her while she's in her carseat so the crying was absolutely manageable. I'm not really an emotional person [I sometimes question if I even have tear ducts] so while I felt bad for her I know the few moments of pain are worth it for the vaccine. I nursed her for a couple minutes as soon as the shots were done then held her while we were in the lobby setting up her 4 month appointment. She did surprisingly well in her carseat on the way home, nursed for about 10 minutes and is passed out now. Asleep on my shoulder and I'm hoping she gets a good nap because I hope to avoid medicating her & we're hoping to head over to happy hour tonight.
